Amalfi Coast Sailing Itinerary
Total distance 87 nautical miles · average 2–3 hours sailing daily
Day 1 — Pozzuoli
Embark at Pozzuoli, once the Roman port of Puteoli. Its lively seafront is framed by volcanic landscapes, and historic ruins such as the amphitheatre recall its ancient heritage. Today it’s a bustling harbour town and perfect gateway to explore the Bay of Naples islands.
Day 2 - Procida
Smallest of Naples’ islands, Procida charms with colourful harbours and narrow alleys. Still largely untouched by mass tourism, it offers an authentic glimpse of island life. Fishermen mend nets, children play by the quay, and cafés line sun-drenched piazzas by the sea.
Day 3 - Ischia
Volcanic Ischia delights with thermal spas, lush gardens, and historic treasures. Explore the dramatic Aragonese Castle, rising from the sea on its rocky islet, then unwind in hot springs. With its relaxed pace and simple cuisine, Ischia is a refreshing counterpoint to Capri.
Day 4 - Capri
Capri is a jewel of the Tyrrhenian, where cliffs plunge into azure waters and villas bloom with bougainvillea. Glamorous yet timeless, the island blends chic boutiques with serene escapes in Anacapri. Take a chairlift up Monte Solaro for breathtaking panoramas.
Day 5 - Amalfi Coast
UNESCO-listed Amalfi dazzles with pastel towns clinging to cliffs. Stroll Amalfi’s cathedral square, sip spritz in chic Positano, or wander Ravello’s villa gardens where Wagner found inspiration. Sheer cliffs, hidden coves, and cultured charm make this coast unforgettable.
Day 6 - Sorrento
Sorrento’s lemon groves, grand hotels, and cliffside views have long drawn poets and travellers. Once a stop on the 19th-century Grand Tour, it retains its literary spirit. Stroll Piazza Tasso, shop marquetry, dine on gnocchi alla sorrentina, and toast with limoncello.
Day 7 - Pozzuoli (Return)
Return to Pozzuoli and linger on its lively promenade. Visit the historic amphitheatre or sip espresso overlooking the bay, reflecting on a week of volcanic islands, glamorous harbours, and clifftop towns — the perfect finale to Italy’s southern shores.
