Day 1 - Scarlino

Day 2 - Porto Azzurro

Day 3 - Marina di Campo

Day 4 - Marciana Marina

Elegant 19th-century villas shaded by palms and magnolia line Marciana’s seafront, once a retreat favoured by Napoleon. Behind rises Monte Capanne, the island’s highest peak, reached by a quirky cableway of open cages. The views and rugged hinterland are simply unforgettable.

Day 5 - Portoferraio

Ochre houses and narrow stairways climb from Portoferraio’s harbour to a 16th-century citadel. Wander alleyways of shops and trattorias, then climb the walls for sunset. As the sea glows red against reefs below, it’s easy to see why few ever wish to leave this enchanting town.

Day 6 - Cavo

A sandy beach stretches to Capo Castello, where Roman villa ruins overlook cliffs plunging to turquoise waters. Above, the ornate Tonietti Mausoleum rises from wild vegetation, a liberty-style landmark recalling Elba’s mining past. Cavo is where history meets coastal splendour.

Day 7 - Scarlino (Return)
