Day 1 — Scarlino

Nestled on Tuscany’s coast, Marina di Scarlino is the perfect embarkation point. Modern marina facilities and relaxed waterfront cafés set the scene as you prepare to cast off. A gentle evening sail introduces the island’s horizon, promising a week of adventure and discovery.

A coastal scene with a dirt pathway on the right, a cactus in the foreground, a large tree on the right, and a harbor filled with sailboats and yachts in the background under a clear blue sky.

Day 2 - Porto Azzuro

Once guarded by a 16th-century Spanish citadel, Porto Azzurro later became a notorious prison town before reinventing itself as a vibrant harbour. Today its squares brim with cafés and colour, and the lively waterfront makes it one of Elba’s most popular and engaging resorts.

A vibrant harbor with numerous small boats docked, colorful buildings along the waterfront, green trees, and a clear blue sky in the background.

Day 3 - Marina di Campo

On the edge of a fertile plain, Marina di Campo combines golden beaches with an old harbour buzzing with trawlers. Stroll its historic lanes or browse the fish market for the day’s catch. The lively seafront and surrounding mountains give Campo both charm and natural drama.

Aerial view of a marina with boats, a small beach with umbrellas, and a coastal town with orange-roofed buildings on a hillside.

Day 4 - Marciana Marina

Elegant 19th-century villas shaded by palms and magnolia line Marciana’s seafront, once a retreat favoured by Napoleon. Behind rises Monte Capanne, the island’s highest peak, reached by a quirky cableway of open cages. The views and rugged hinterland are simply unforgettable.

A coastal town on a small island with historic stone walls and a castle-like structure near the water. Colorful buildings and boats are visible along the waterfront, with hills and additional buildings in the background.

Day 5 - Portoferraio

Ochre houses and narrow stairways climb from Portoferraio’s harbour to a 16th-century citadel. Wander alleyways of shops and trattorias, then climb the walls for sunset. As the sea glows red against reefs below, it’s easy to see why few ever wish to leave this enchanting town.

Marina with sailboats and yachts, stone breakwater with lighthouse, hill in background, bright blue sea and sky.

Day 6 - Cavo

A sandy beach stretches to Capo Castello, where Roman villa ruins overlook cliffs plunging to turquoise waters. Above, the ornate Tonietti Mausoleum rises from wild vegetation, a liberty-style landmark recalling Elba’s mining past. Cavo is where history meets coastal splendour.

Boats docked at a marina during sunset with colorful sky and reflections in the water.

Day 7 - Scarlino (Return)

Sail back to Scarlino and linger over a final cappuccino by the marina. Watch yachts and fishing boats slip out to sea as you reflect on a voyage through Elba’s imperial legacies, pastel harbours, and golden bays — an island rich in history and Mediterranean light.
