The Cultural Heart of the Cyclades

Neoclassical elegance, lived-in islands, and a slower Cycladic rhythm

Introduction

The Cyclades are the essence of Greece — whitewashed towns, neoclassical harbours and sparkling Aegean seas. Sailing from Athens to Kea, Syros, Sifnos and Kythnos, this itinerary is shaped by longer Aegean passages, rewarding arrivals and a deeper sense of journey through the quieter, more authentic side of these storied islands.

Day 1 - Athens

Begin in Athens, where ancient ruins and lively modern streets frame your departure. Wander through Plaka beneath the Acropolis, enjoy coffee on Syntagma Square, or savour your first meze plates by the marina before sailing into the Aegean.

Day 2 - Kea

A short sail from Athens, Kea is a quiet gem with sandy beaches and wooded hills. Wander through Ioulis, its hilltop capital, with narrow alleys and traditional tavernas. Kea’s relaxed charm and close proximity make it a welcoming start to the Cycladic adventure.

Colorful seaside town with buildings lining the rocky coast, turquoise water, mountain hills in the background, and a blue sky with clouds.

Day 3 - Syros - Day 1

Syros blends Cycladic beauty with Venetian elegance. Ermoupoli, its capital, is a neoclassical masterpiece with marble squares, grand mansions, and pastel houses. Stroll the waterfront, visit Apollo Theatre, or explore lively cafés in this cultural jewel of the Aegean.

Day 5 - Sifnos

Sifnos is the culinary soul of the Cyclades, known for its whitewashed villages, ancient paths, and deeply rooted food traditions. Wander through Apollonia and Kastro, enjoy unhurried lunches, and experience an island where simplicity, craft, and everyday life remain quietly intertwined.

A scenic beach with clear turquoise water, white sandy shores, three small trees, and sailboats anchored in the distance under a bright blue sky with a few clouds.

Day 6 - Kythnos

Kythnos is known for its thermal springs, sandy bays, and tranquil villages. Relax in natural hot pools, stroll through cobbled lanes, or swim in Kolona Bay, one of the Cyclades’ most striking beaches where a sandbar connects two sides of the island.

A lively street scene in Athens, Greece, with outdoor cafes, vibrant pink bougainvillea on white buildings, and the Parthenon atop the Acropolis in the background under a blue sky.

Day 7 - Athens (Return)

Sail back to Athens and enjoy a final evening in the city. Reflect on a journey of contrasts — from the neoclassical elegance of Syros to the quiet bays of Kea, Sifnos and Kythnos — a voyage through the softer, more authentic side of the Cyclades.
